This video features play-doh recipes instead of slime! Play-doh is much easier to make and has a similar sensory effect to slime when you play with it. So if you find DIY slimes tricky or expensive to make, then give these a try! Most of these can be made with things that you probably already have at home! This video was filmed with Lisa from Cute Life Hacks DE (https://www.youtube.com/cutelifehacksDE), so those are her hands on camera :)!

I'm aware that many people have issues with using food or body-care products in DIYs but please remember that supermarket ingredients are the CHEAPEST THINGS that you can possibly use for crafting. Things like cornstarch, soap or toothpaste cost a fraction of polymer clay, paints, glitter etc.

Just for clarification, here's a quick definition of common crafting words so you know exactly what they mean:
SLIME - The result of chemical reaction between PVA and borate. This produces a special type of plastic polymer that is stretchy and doesn't leave any residue on your skin. Lots of people tend to use this word for anything with a "slime-like" consistency however that's not correct! Lotion mixed with cornstarch or frozen shampoos mixed with salt are NOT slimes.
PLAY DOH - Any type of "squishy" material that you can play with. This is a broad term, so any soft dough-like mixture can be considered a play doh. These do not have to hold their shape after hardening.
CLAY - Any modelling material that holds its shape after hardening/drying (includes paper clay, ceramic clay, polymer clay etc). I do use the word slightly interchangeably with play-doh, but strictly speaking, clays do not include any mixtures that crumble or lose their shape after you sculpt them.
PLASTICINE - An oil based modelling material that doesn't dry out. It's firmer than play-doh and can be sculpted like clay.
