Here is what you'll need!

Make a useful 3-in-1 gardening seat, knee pad, and storage bin with a terracotta pot and a few materials. Now gardening will be that much more comfortable and fun!

MATERIALS
22 x 22 x 2 inch high density foam pad
3 yards polyester quilting batting material
1 x 15 inch circular wood board
Staple gun, thumb tacks or hammer & nails
1 yard of fabric (outdoor material or waterproof material is best)
20-inch terracotta pot


INSTRUCTIONS
1. Mark out the circumference of the wood board on the foam mat and and cut accordingly with a utility knife.
2. Cut 2 yards of the batting material and fold over to get 2 layers. Cut out a rough circular shape of approximately 30 inches wide - or however wide you need to cover the wood, foam and batting stuffing. If in doubt, cut more than you need and trim later.
3. Cut a circle of the fabric the same size as this batting layer.
4. With the remaining batting, fold into a high square. You can also use any off cuts to fill up the stuffing. Optional - you can also loosely sew it closed so that the square doesn’t fall apart during assembly. Tuck in the corners of the square to make it more ball-like.
5. Begin to assemble the cushion by layering on the elements - starting with the fabric, then batting sheet, batting ball, foam mat, and wood board.
6. Pulling the fabric and and batting taut, begin stapling or nailing the fabric to the bottom of the wood until you have secured the cushion. Trim any excess material.
7. You can create handles for the cushion with folded over fabric scraps and fabric or craft glue. Staple them to the bottom of the wood.
8. Optional - cut leftover fabric into a circle and glue down to the base of the board with industrial glue to hide the staples.
9. Flip over, drop it onto the terracotta pot, and enjoy your new cushion and knee pad!
