Here is what you'll need!
Ikea Table 4 Ways
Wood Paneling Upgrade
MATERIALS
1 Table
Wood slats (as many as are needed to cover your entire table)
Nails (2 per slat)
Sander
Wood stain (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut all pieces of wood to the length of the table, and make sure that they cover the width of the table when placed side by side.
Sand down the wood and stain. Allow it to dry overnight.
Place the slats of wood side by side so that they cover the entire top of the table; hammer a nail into each end of the slat. Repeat for each slat of wood.
Dog Bowl Holder
MATERIALS
1 Table
Chalk
2 Dog bowls
Rotary tool
Sander
Hooks (optional)
Decorative Markers (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the two dog bowls on the top of the table where you would like the holes to be placed. Trace the dog bowls using chalk and remove the bowls from the table.
Using a rotary tool (or your choice of cutting tool), cut out the circles traced in the previous step. Only cut through the top layer of the table, do not cut through the bottom layer of the table. This will allow the bowl to sit perfectly in the table without falling out.
Sand the edges of the circle and wipe away any excess sawdust.
Place the bowls into their respective compartments.
Decorate the table. (Optional)
Add hooks to the side of the table to hang any extra supplies, we used ours to hang a basket filled with dog essentials. (Optional).
Ottoman
MATERIALS
1 Table
Foam (cut to the size of your table)
Spray Adhesive
Fabric
Staple gun
Cotton batting (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cover your project area with plastic or newspaper.
Remove the legs from the bottom of the table.
Spray the top of the table with spray adhesive, and quickly place the foam on top. Let it dry.
For extra cushion, you can cover the foam with cotton batting. Allow a few excess inches on each side so that it can wrap around to the bottom of the table. Pull tightly so that itâs perfectly fitted and staple it down.
Cover the table with fabric. Allow a few excess inches on each side so that it can wrap around the table. Pull the fabric tightly over the cushion so itâs perfectly fitted. Carefully fold the corners in so that all four match. Stapled the fabric down on the bottom side of the table.
Cut the excess fabric off so that the legs can be screwed back into the bottom of the table.
Bar Cart
MATERIALS
2 Identical tables
1 Towel Bar
4 Caster wheels
4 Corner Braces
Screws
Screwdriver
Contact paper (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Cover the tops of the two tables with contact paper. Use a ruler to smoothen it out as you go, and pop any air bubbles. Tip: We also covered our towel bar with contact paper so that it could match the table.
Take Table 1 and screw a towel bar onto one side of the table.
Take Table 2 and screw one caster wheel to the bottom of each leg.
Stack table 1 on top of table 2. Place one corner brace on each corner of the table and screw them in to connect the legs of Table 1 to the top of Table 2.
