BACKYARD CAMPING IDEAS FOR KIDS!

FLAMELESS FIRE PIT

SUPPLIES
Led lights
Mini fan
Fabric, dark
Rocks
Sticks
Colored tissue paper
Tape

INSTRUCTIONS
Ball up the lights on the ground.
Place the mini fan on top and tape some lights on top as well as securing the sides for the time being.
Wrap the bottom portion of the lights with dark piece of fabric to mimic coals.
Place rocks along the edge to shape the fire pit.
Place sticks or wood scraps along the sides for “firewood”.
Turn on the fan and lights and enjoy the flameless fire!

FOLD UP TENT

SUPPLIES
(4) 1x2 inch wood, 4 feet long
¾-inch hole saw
Power drill
½-inch drill bit
(2) ½-inch dowel, 4 feet long
¾-inch dowel
2 ½-yard fabric, 45 inches wide
Elastic bands
Pool float
Sleeping bag

INSTRUCTIONS
Measure 2 inches from one end of the 1x2 and drill a ¾-inch hole. Repeat for the rest of the wood.
From the other end measure 1 inch and drill a ½-inch hole.
Take the ½-inch dowel and place the ends with the ½-inch hole one each end. Repeat for the other ½-inch dowel.
Cross the open ends of the wood with the ¾-inch hole and thread the ¾-inch dowel through the top.
Lay the fabric over the tent.
For every corner of the tent sew on a elastic band creating a loop to hook onto the bottom dowels.
Sew on a ribbon at the top of the tent to keep fabric taught.
Place a pool float and sleeping bag for optimal sleep!

PLASTIC JAR LANTERN

SUPPLIES
Plastic jar, peanut butter jars
Wax paper, or parchment paper
Colored paper, optional
Battery operated tea lights
rope

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a piece of wax paper to fit the jar when rolled up.
Measure the same size sheet for the colored paper. Cut out designs and customize it!
Lay out the colored paper then place the wax paper on top and roll it and place it into the jar.
Turn the tea light on and drop it in. Or attach tea light onto the lid and use the lantern as storage!
Tie knots to secure rope onto each end of the lid and you got yourself a flameless lantern!

EASY HOT COCOA SPOONS

INGREDIENTS
Chocolate
Marshmallows
Spoons
Aluminum foil

PREPARATION
Melt chocolate and dip spoon to fully coat it.
Roll up a peice of aluminum foil where the end of the spoon can rest and not drip over.
Place marshmallows on top and let it harden in the fridge or freezer.
Warm your milk and use the chocolate spoon and watch your milk turn into a hot cocoa!
Top it off with desired toppings!
