3 Mean Ways To Wrap Gifts

Cable Tie Wrap

MATERIALS
Boxed gift
Cable ties
Plier cutters

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wrap boxed gift with cable ties around a box.
2. If needed link cables ties together to create a longer tie.
3. Start wrap by aligning a row of zip ties on one side of the box.
4. To create a more difficult wrap, create a weave of zip ties.
5. Trim excess tie with plier cutters.
6. Use pliers to open the gift.

Concrete Gift Card

MATERIALS
Small plastic box
Wooden letters
Glue stick
Concrete
Plaster of paris
Water
Gift card

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In a small plastic container, glue a message or note with wooden letters to the base of the box. Make sure to glue the letters backwards, to ensure the letters will be in the right position when the project is complete.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together 1 part concrete and 1 part plaster of paris.
3. Once thoroughly combined slowly mix in 2 parts water.
4. Carefully pour in about an inch of the mixture to the plastic box.
5. Tap the box to remove air bubbles.
6. Place a gift card on top of the wet concrete mixture.
7. Carefully pour in another inch of concrete over the gift card.
8. Tap the box to remove more air bubbles.
9. Set aside and let cure for at least 24 hours.
10. Over a towel, place the opening on the box toward the towel and tap it to remove the brick.
11. Use a hammer to break the brick open to get the gift card.

Duct Tape Wrapper

MATERIALS
Boxed gift
Duct tape

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wrap your boxed gift in duct tape.
2. Use smaller strips to make unwrapping the gift harder.
