Giant Ornaments

MATERIALS
Large inflatable bouncing ball
Disposable pie tin
Wire
Wire cutters
Pliers
Industrial glue
Duct tape

STEPS
Take a pie tin that that is proportional to your ball, and will look like an ornament cap when placed on it.
Next, cut your wire large enough to look like the ornament hanger, bend it so that it forms a semicircle.
Bend the two ends of the wire about 1 inch to form a 90 degree angle at each end. The ends should point towards each other.
Flip the pie tin so the opening faces downwards. Take the two ends of the wire and poke them through opposite ends of the pie tin near the top (opposite the opening).
Tape the wire down with duct tape on the inside of the pie tin.
Trace the rim of the pie tin opening with industrial glue, and glue it to your ball.
Decorate as you wish. Display with the “ornament cap” sitting at the top of the ball.

“Snow” Balls

Epsom salt

In a bowl, mix together 2 cups of epsom salt and glitter. The amount of glitter used is up to one’s own discretion. This will be the snow mixture.
Put gloves on. Take a styrofoam ball and coat it in the glue.
Place the styrofoam ball into the snow mixture and cover it completely.
To add more dimension and create different snowball shapes, go back and forth between the glue and the snow mixture to add more layers.
Let the snowballs dry completely before use.

Jar Snow Globe

MATERIALS
Jar
Water
Dish soap
Glycerin
Hot Glue
Glitter
Small Christmas figurines

STEPS
Clean your jar. To remove any stickers, place the jar in a bowl of warm water and dish soap for 15 minutes. Wipe away the sticker and rinse the jar clean. For really tough stickers, leave in the mixture for longer.
Using hot glue, plant your figurines to the inside of the jar lid. Let this dry completely.
In the jar, mix together the water and glycerin. For our jar we used 2.5 cups of water to 1.5 tablespoons of glycerin. It is a ratio of 5 parts water to 3 parts glycerin.
Next add the glitter, the amount used it optional. The glycerin will make the glitter fall slowly.
Screw the lid back on, and hot glue around the rim to ensure that no water comes out.
Shake away.
