Modular Stackable Wood Crate Shelf

MATERIALS
Wooden crate
20 screws
8 wood legs

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut a 8 pieces of wood legs, the same length as the crate. These will become the legs for the shelf.
2. Place the crate onto your work surface. Lay it on it’s side.
3. Take your 1st piece of wood and place it ⅓ of the way down the crate.
4. Pre-drill two holes through the leg and crate. Secure in place with two screws.
5. Rotate the crate and place a 2nd piece of wood over the 1st piece and crate. Pre-drill two holes through the leg and crate. Secure in place with two screws. Make sure both wood pieces are aligned to create a leg.
6. At the bottom of the 2nd piece of wood pre drill a hole where the 2nd piece of wood is over the 1st piece of wood. Secure in place with one screw.
7. Repeat this on the other 3 corners.
8. Each crate shelf can stand alone or be stacked to create a taller shelf.


Rope Rug

MATERIALS
Craft paper
Non-slip carpet mat
Soft rope
Hot glue

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Lay out craft paper to protect your surface.
2. Lay out non-slip carpet mat over craft paper.
3. Take the end of of your soft rope and apply a small amount of hot glue to the tip. Carefully fold the rope in, to start the center of your rug.
4. Place a small amount of hot glue to the rope center and then place over it on the center of the non-slip carpet mat.
5. Apply a small amount of hot glue around the rope center, then quickly wrap the rope around the hot glue to create a spiral design.
6. Continue to add hot glue and rope until you’ve create a big enough rug.
7. Trim off any remaining carpet pad to complete the rug.

Concrete Serving Tray

MATERIALS
2 drawer handles
Washers
Concrete mix
Water
Plastic bin
Vinyl surface pad (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add washers to the base of your handle. There should be enough washers to completely cover any part of the screw at the handle base.
2. Repeat this on both handles. The washers will help hold the handles upright and in place.
3. Mix enough concrete so that the washers can be completely covered when they are placed in your plastic bin.
4. Pour your concrete into the plastic bin.
5. Carefully tap your bin to smoothen out the concrete and to remove any bubbles.
6. Place your two handles into the concrete.
7. Gently tap the bin again to smoothen out any ripples made while the handles were being put in.
8. Set aside to cure.
9. Carefully remove the tray from the plastic bin.
10. As an option add surface pads to the bottom on the tray.


Mirror Glass Vase

MATERIALS
Glass vase
Craft paper
Spray bottle
Water
Vinegar
Mirror effect spray paint
Sponge
Towel

INSTRUCTIONS
1. In your spray bottle, mix together equal parts vinegar and water.
2. Lay out craft paper to protect your surface.
3, Place your glass vase on the craft paper with opening facing down.
4. Slowly spray the your vinegar and water solution onto the vase. You want to create beads of water on the vase.
5. Carefully spay mirror effect spray paint over the wet vase. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
6. Use a sponge to dab off the water. Repeat process 2-3 more times until the vase of completely covered.
7. Carefully dab off any remaining water to reveal the finished look.
