DIY Faux Roman Shades

MATERIALS
1 Curtain (2 for a wider window)
3 Tension rods
Scissors
Fabric glue (or sewing machine)
Safety pins
Measuring tape
Iron

INSTRUCTIONS
Measure the length and width of your window, and choose 3 tension rods that fit within measurements.
Choose a curtain (or curtains, if necessary) and carefully iron it.
If the curtain is too wide for the window, fold the sides inward to get the perfect width. Cut off any excess fabric from the folds, leaving 1 inch for a hem. Hem with fabric glue or sew.
If the curtain is too long for the window, cut and hem the bottom as necessary. Make sure to keep the length of the curtain between 1 foot shorter to 1 foot longer than the length of the window. The length depends on how big you want your folds to be.
Take the curtain and place it at the top of the window using the tension rod.
Next place the other two tension rods where you would like to have your folds.
Fold the fabric over the tension rod to hide it, and do this for the following fold. Make sure the folds are straight, and as long or short as you want.
Use a safety pin on both sides of each fold to hold it in place.
