I've wanted to try making slime using the GlamGlow Glitter Mask ever since I first heard about it!! At $69 for 50ml this is a pricey product. The only comparable "luxury" peel-off glitter mask is Too Faced Glow Job mask which sells for $42. So GlamGlow is basically the most expensive PVA-containing raw ingredient that you can possibly find for slime. Just to compare, a 50ml tube of glue probably costs $3, 50ml of cheap face masks cost $6 and you can get an entire bag of pure PVA powder for $10 :P!!

I was fairly certain this slime would turn out well since peel-off masks always work and the mixture is already holo and sparkly. But to make it more interesting. I decided to try replicating the texture using cheap masks. I was genuinely shocked at how similar both of these turned out to be. I expected the DIY version to be slightly more opaque and less sparkly but both seem to be identical. So this means you can grab any cheap black face mask from the drugstore and create the exact same slime as the GlamGlow one!

BLACK HOLO SLIME RECIPE
1) Place 1.6oz or 50ml of black peel-off face mask in a bowl.
2) Add 3-4 teaspoons of water. Mix well.
3) Add 3 small pinches of baking soda. Mix well.
4) Add a small amount of contact lens solution. Stir until mixture thickens.
5) If needed, add more baking soda or contact lens solution until slime is no longer sticky to touch.
6) Be careful not to overactivate! This can happen fairly quickly with face mask slimes.
7) It's normal for slime to turn rubbery when you play with it. You can deactivate it using a tiny bit of glycerine or lemon juice, check out my slime deactivator video below!
