Are you looking for new ways to become a better artist but don't know which are the best exercises to try out? Well, in this video I show you some adorable and entertaining tutorials that will help you improve your skill and give you ideas on what to do when you're bored.
When working with watercolors, don't try to wet the palette with your paintbrush – this will transfer the colors in each pan. Spray some water on them instead.
When you want to paint someone's portrait you can use tracing paper to get the proportions accurate.
You can also try the pouring paint – acrylic technique. Where you pour small blobs of different colors on a canvas and you create a gradient effect. Then, to make it more abstract and beautiful you press a kitchen tissue on top of the paints and then lift it up. Let it dry and voila.
To paint a simple and realistic landscape create the gradient effect on top of a canvas (that will represent the sky). Then, take some card paper crop it to look like a mountain and then using a sponge with some paint on it, tap the paint on it. You can also do multiple layers to make the mountains look more distant.
To dry a watercolor painting really fast, simply place it between some bathroom towels and iron it on top.
