5 Ways To Repurpose Old Tights

Make A Shirt!

SUPPLIES
1 pair tights
Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut both feet off of the tights.
Cut out the crotch of the tights, either in a small circle or just a slit.
The crotch hole becomes the neck hole, the legs become sleeves, and your old pair of tights is now a cute crop top.

Preserve Onions And Garlic

SUPPLIES
1 pair sheer tights
Scissors
Onions
Garlic

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut both legs off of the tights.
Store whole onions and/or garlic in the tights, placing them in one at a time and tying a knot between each one.
Hang in a cool, dry place. Storing onions this way will maximize their shelf life by allowing them to “breathe”, protecting them from bruising, and protect counters from flaky onion skin.

Lens Filter

SUPPLIES
Tights
Scissors
Camera

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut a square out of a pair of tights. Sheer, neutral tights work best, but you can experiment with different colors and textures for different results!
Cover the lens with the piece of fabric, and secure with a rubber band.
This homemade filter will diffuse light, softening the image and adding a gauzy, vintage feeling to photos and video.
