Basket Folds
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Open the napkin completely and fold it diagonally, making a triangle shape.
Take the bottom of the triangle and fold it four inches away from the top.
Flip the napkin around, take the right corner from the bottom of the of the triangle and fold it towards the left corner. Repeat this step on the opposite side, and tuck the left corner into the fold on the back of the napkin. Now it will have a pentagon shape.
Take the two flaps at the top of the pentagon and fold them out, this will create an opening for the bread basket.
Double Pocket Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Open the napkin completely and fold the bottom of the napkin up 1-2 inches from the top.
Add a second fold by folding the bottom up again, 1-2 inches from the first fold.
Flip the napkin around. Take the right end of the napkin and fold it back behind the napkin horizontally, do the same with the left side, this time tucking it in behind the previous fold.
Bread Basket Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Open the napkin completely. Fold the bottom of the napkin in about â
of the way in, repeat at the top.
Fold both the top and bottom once more towards the center.
Take one side of the napkin and fold it horizontally towards the backside of the napkin, repeat on the opposite side, tucking the second fold into the flap of the first fold.
Flip around to use as a bread basket.
Maple Leaf Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
1 Napkin ring
INSTRUCTIONS
Lay the napkin flat. Fold the napkin in half.
Using the top layer of the fold, grab one corner and fold it diagonally towards the bottom center of the napkin, repeat on the opposite corner. Now it will look like you have a triangle sitting on top of a rectangle. Flip the napkin around.
Take the top two corners of the rectangle and fold them down to the bottom.
Next, take a bottom corner and fold upwards diagonally, repeat with the opposite corner.
Rotate the napkin vertically, and do an accordion fold from the bottom to the top, secure with a napkin ring.
Fluff out the napkin to reveal a maple leaf.
Cornucopia Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Lay the napkin down flat. Fold it diagonally to form a triangle.
Take one corner of the triangle and fold it diagonally towards the tip of the triangle. Repeat on the opposite side. You should have a diamond shape.
Take the right side of the napkin and fold it horizontally over towards the left side, making sure it crosses over the middle of the napkin. Repeat with the opposite side.
Sailboat Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
INSTRUCTIONS
Start with the napkin open flat. Fold it in half downwards.
Take the top right-hand corner and fold it down diagonally towards the bottom center of the napkin.
Next take the bottom right corner again and fold horizontally towards the left corner.
Take the top left corner and fold it diagonally to the bottom right corner. Now you will have a triangle.
At the bottom of the triangle, place your hands inside the opening, in the center of the napkin layers. Then fold the napkin from the inside out, making a one inch fold.
Turkey Fold
MATERIALS
1 Square napkin
1 Pine cone
1 Napkin ring
*Iron optional
INSTRUCTIONS
Begin with the napkin open flat. Fold the napkin once up towards the top, about ž of the way.
Fold the napkin from the bottom up a second time, this time about halfway (landing beneath the previous fold).
Turn the napkin 90 degrees so that it sits longways, and fold it accordion style all the way to the top.
To crispen the folds, iron over them with an iron.
Secure with a napkin ring and stand.
Place a pine cone in front of the napkin to make it look like a turkey.
