3 Ways To Hide Ugly Items In Your Home ─ BuzzFeed Nifty

Here is what you'll need!

Instructions:

Painting with hinges
Supplies:
Artwork on canvas (big enough to cover a power panel)
Two hinges
Screws
Pencil
Power drill and drill bits

Instructions:
Get a piece of artwork you like that is on a canvas. On the back of the canvas, mark with a pencil where you are going to drill to attach the hinges. On marked areas, drill pilot holes. Place the hinges over the pilot holes and drill screws in to attach the hinges.

Near the power panel on the wall, mark the drill spots where the canvas is going to be attached. On marked areas, drill pilot holes. Place the canvas’s hinges on the wall and drill screws in to attach the canvas.

Fake Book
Supplies:
2-inch binder (size may vary depending on the size of the router)
Fabric (approximately 15"x27")
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Box cutter
Marker

Instructions:
Place router in binder (near the spine), and then measure the space left over from the router to the binder rim, leaving an extra inch of room.

Mark where the binder will be cut with a marker, then cut the binder down with a box cutter, so that the excess room is removed and the binder is more book shaped.
Use a piece of fabric to cover the binder. Glue the fabric onto the inside flap (lengthwise), and then wrap around until you reach the spine.
Fold fabric to create a book spine effect, and then glue the fabric fold, so the fold holds. Repeat process on the other side of the binder spine to complete the book spine.
Glue the fabric onto the inside flap (lengthwise) on the other side of the binder, and then glue the remaining fabric onto the inside flaps (widthwise), until all the excess fabric is all glued inside the binder.
Remove the cardboard from the two scrap binder pieces, and then paint the cardboard strips white or beige to look like the color of book pages, cut strips down to fit in binder in a way that best resembles book pages. Glue the one strip onto the top of the binder and the other on the bottom; both strips should be glued a little ways into the binder to complete the book look.

Wooden Box Cover
Supplies:
A wooden box with hinges attached
Rotary Tool
Hook-and-loop tape
Paint (or other decorating mediums)

Instructions:
Get a wooden box with hinges attached, that is large enough to cover your door buzzer (or whatever you want to cover). Measure the door buzzer’s length and width, and then on the bottom of the box, mark the size of the door buzzer with an additional 1/2-inch.

Use a rotary tool to cut through the marked area. Now you have an open space for the door buzzer. (Optional: sanding the cut area.)

Decorate box with paint (or other decorating mediums)

Place box over the door buzzer and draw an outline of the box on the wall with a pencil. Measure and mark where you are going to place the hook-and-loop tape on the wall and on the bottom of the box, so that they will line up and stick.

Place box over door buzzer and align the hook-and-loop fasteners and press box to attach well.
