Transform A Mint Tin Into A Stove
Materials
Large tin can (empty)
Small tin can (empty, top and bottom removed)
Snips
Pliers
Marker
Gloves
Knife
Can opener
Instructions
Put on gloves to protect your hands from sharp edges.
At the top of the can, use a marker to mark where you want to cut holes. Our holes measure about 1 inch in length and 1 cm in height. We recommend creating at least four holes for proper ventilation.
Use the snips or the knife to cut into the marked areas. You can continue to cut the holes out completely or bend down the top cuts to create holes.
Lay the large can on its side. Use a marker to trace the small can onto the large can. Trace the small can near the bottom of the large can.
Cut an âXâ shape within the marked circle on the large can with a knife.
Use the snips or the knife to continue cutting out the circle on the large can.
Test to see if the small can fits into the large can by inserting the small can into the cut out circular area of the large can
Puncture holes into the bottom of the large can using a can opener or knife. We recommend making at least 4 holes. Our holes measure about 1 inch in length and 1 cm in height.
Use snips or a knife to continue cutting out the holes at the bottom of the large tin can. Use pliers to help you bend out the bottom pieces to make them easier to cut off.
How to Use Stove
Place fuel into stove. Fuel can be dry leaves or twigs.
Light the dry leaves or twigs on fire.
Place pan or pot on top of the stove.
Continue feeding the fire through the small can.
Fan the stove to intensify the flames and to keep the fire going.
